Fantasy football 2012

  • Yep looks like a midnight start for "us Brits"

I'm at a gig so will no doubt be on the road driving back at that time.

My guess is I'll be back 1 1/2 into the draft.

I'll have to check the rules to see what my options are. Other than stopping off at services!

    Rodders...

You a musician? What do you play?

I play keyboards and single reeds (clarinet, sax).

Knew I typed that too quickly last night...

Not performing but attending a gig. Except it and home are at least 2 hours apart!

Sorry don't play an instruments currently.

Although I did play the clarinet once upon a time... Only not that well!

Ah, okay. Been trying to get a small jazz/pop ensemble off the ground, but been too busy to give it the time that I should. Also, I perform in a local concert/symphonic band.

So, we have an upstate New Yorker and two Brits in our division. Perhaps we should call ourselves "League Oceania"? Or how about "The Atlantic Division"?

  • I can move the draft time up 2 hours, if there's no objections. I hate to start a schedule discussion this late in the game, but it sounds like most are pretty flexible.

  • I'm open all day Sunday, so whatever works for me, as long as everyone else knows about it.

That depends -- I just need to make sure the boss (read: my wife) doesn't have me doing chores late Sunday afternoon!

Ehhhh . . . I'll just take my laptop to whatever room I'm working in!

  • Okay.

I can't do the live draft tonight due to being at a gig. I've saved my picks but I don't really know what happens now as I can't be there for the live draft?

I should be able to login when I get back, probably about 1 am -1 30 am UK time.

Otherwise it will be when I get up!

    Cheers,

    Rodders...

  • It was quite a good draft, only lasted about 45 minutes, and the usual mistakes still got made.

I took a backup quarterback who has a bye week the same time as my main QB, and I picked a kicker (no backup) who got cut 2 days before the draft. D'Oh!

    Waivers here I come...

  • Great draft, and glad I was there. Went smoothly for me, and after I grabbed 1 at each position, I was watching bye weeks and checking the depth charts for teams. Managed to avoid grabbing any third stringers or injuries/waives.

    Good luck everyone

I might be looking for either a decent WR or RB, and might be willing to trade my backup QB for the right deal. Want to talk trade?

  • Missed the draft. I was walking the South Rim of the Grand Canyon with my daughter and one of her friends.

I need to see what my team looks like.

Looks like Robert and I did the same thing: drafted a kicker who was released. Hopefully my waiver goes through.

Lame that they leave those kickers on the draft roster...guess I could have done a LITTLE research first.

  • It looks like 3 people did that. Oh well, there's still a couple decent ones out there. And you never know, sometimes those veterans who get cut wind up latching on with another team early in the season.
