Local radio station recently said that people in a Fantasy Football League average 10 hours per week on Fantasy Football?
Is that an exaggeration or do you think that is a pretty good estimate?
For my other hobbies, I'd guess that is about right;

That sounds about right. I check it every day during the season if I can, though I usually don't spend a ton of time during the middle of the week. Just to check on injury status of my players and see if any decent players are avaiable. On Sundays though I have my laptop/tablet/phone open to my team page with live updates as the games are going on to see how I am doing though. I'd call it just passively looking at the scores, but I have had lazy Sundays where it's been open from 11am to 8pm or so with occasional checks to it while I am watching games live on TV. Don't worry, snack and bathroom breaks were taken.

That number seems high to me. You'd have to be in a lot of leagues to spend that much time. I'm in 4 leagues, and I don't spend half that much time.

I spend about 10-15 minutes a week. Across multiple years I've finished all over the board, including winning one year.

I try to pay enough attention that I don't get bit by a bye week for a player, maybe looking for an occasional change if a player isn't performing well over time. I may check occasionally on game days to see how I am doing.

I'm in 3 leagues and am fairly active....I'll spend 4-5 hours a week, approximately. But I'm an NFL junkie, too.

Righto,
I have no idea what happened on Saturday. I did everything I needed to. !!
Just repeated the steps, picked the same team name etc. Looks as though it worked this time as I've got to see the leagues! 😀
Oh no I appear to be up against Steve and Lynn! Start the excuses now...

Regular season starts next week!
What was the draft day and time again? (Haven't had my coffee yet, and I don't feel like digging through old posts to find it! :-))

September 2nd (this Sunday) at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern. The folks across the pond are going to have to convert that time themselves. 😛

Okay, 7 pm for me. So, I believe our British friends are five hours ahead of me -- or is it four hours if they don't follow Daylight Savings Time?
I dunno. So confused!!! (Must be weak coffee this morning!)

Ugh, starting a fantasy draft at midnight? I don't think they get the following Monday off either like most of us in the States will have do they? I'd need a couple of cold beverages to get through that draft.

I haven't looked at the geography yet, but will try and re-structure the divisions accordingly (if I get time, ofc).

Rock division ~ west
Paper division ~ central
Scissors division ~ east
This was based on the few responses I got for geography. Ray, you got lumped in with the Brits.
It'll be funny to see if the league winner comes out of the appropriate division, e.g. if 'Way0utWest' (being in the Paper division) beats 'NFLSoldiers' (from the Rock division).

So, does this imply that we won't be able to use our running backs because they'd be "running with scissors"?
:-D:hehe:
