Failover and DB Clustering

    All,

    I am interested in setting up an Active-Passive failover cluster environment. From the documentation I've read it looks like the only version that can support this is the Enterprise Edition (of SQL Server 2000), meaning the standard edition won't support this. Can someone please confirm this?

    You are correct, it will require Enterprise Edition.  Here is a link that shows features by editions:

    Yes. And if you want to go down this road, there is also a minimum operating system requirement of Windows 2000 Advanced Server or Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition. So it's both the OS and SQL Server that need to be at the correct version.
