Failed Transaction Log Backup

  Using SQL 2000 SP3

  All transaction logs for all databases are not backing up. Event log shows Event ID 208

  What could be causing this? Is there a service running that is not allowing the log backup. All database dumps are running correctly.

  Are the ones that are failing in simple recovery mode or have truncate log on checkpoint turned on?

  Which Event Log?

  What does the SQL Server Error Log show?

  What does the Windows Event Log show?
