  When I installed the SQL server 2008 R2 on Windows 2008 R2, the install failed with the following problem :

  The following error has occurred:

  The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2337.

  Any ideas ?

  What do the logs say?

  c:\program files\Microsoft Sql Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\xxxxxx_xxxxx\Detail.txt

  where "xxxxxx_xxxxx " corresponds to the timestamp of the failed install.
