Failed Data collection / MDW

    Hi All,

    Our data collection has been enabled for a while but when I tried to view the query statistic / server statistic,

    an error came out saying "Failed to connect to server , Login failed for user xxx"

    I checked into this user and no permission or mapping with MDW database so I created the mapping and Grant MDW reader but still no luck

    Any feedback is much appreciated

    Have a look at the errorlog of the server that your data collection is failing to connect to.  That will give you the precise reason for login failure.  That information is not exposed to the caller for security reasons.
