There are many options. My preferred solution is not to unpack the ISO, but to install Virtual Clone Drive (free) which allows you to mount and ISO image as a virtual CD/DVD and run it without unpacking it.
There are also several utilities out there that unpack ISOs. One of the more popular ones I'm aware of is 7-zip[/url]. I believe winRar also unpacks ISOs

I often burn them to DVD.

Extract them using:
WinRAR

MagicISO

Or mount the ISO as a virtual drive using Daemon Tools:

I typically use MagicISO. I like to keep those ISOs readily available on a network share with less chance of losing the DVD. But I do burn to DVD on a regular basis as well.
