In the standard report viewer in remote mode of reporting services you have several rendering methods (to html, csv, excel, xml, ...) What i want to achieve, is adding a rendering extension there that uses the normal xml renderer but then a applies a xslt stylsheet to it. That way reports ran in reportbuilder will be eported to a format that is understandable by other systems used in the company I work for. Is creating a rendering extension a good solution to do this? I suppose i will need the server edition on my development pc to be able to derive from an interface in order to create this extension? Any help or sample code would be greatly appreciated.

"Software changes. This is a rather obvious statement, but it is a fact that must be ever present in the minds of developers and architects. Although we tend to think of software development as chiefly an engineering exercise, the analogy breaks down very quickly. When was the last time someone asked the designers of the Empire State building to add ten new floors at the bottom, put a pool on the top, and have all of this done before Monday morning?
