Hello,
Does anyone have suggestions regarding how to export a SSRS report to Microsoft Word, without the SSRS reports tablix object? The scope is as follows:
Client wants a SSRS report developed. They want to have the report exported to Word. They would like to be able to edit the report in word after it has been exported. This issue is, the word document contains the tablix objects from SSRS, ie: Tablix, textbox, etc. What ever object used in SSRS to format the report is exported to word.
Is there a solution for this or viable work around?
Thanks

The only suggestion I can think of is to design your report inside of a single text box in a table of one cell high and one cell wide. Format everything as you would in Word using spaces, hard returns, and in-line placeholders like you would merge codes. Then, after exporting to Word, copy the entire contents of document onto the clipboard, delete the table, and paste using the text-only or rich text "special" paste options.
