Exporting data from SQL 2005 to Access database file

  • Hi, please help

My system is divided into 2, the server and the client system. The server system uses SQL 2005, the client system should run on any computer, so we decided it'll be best that the client system uses the access database file, avoids SQL installation complications..

How do I export all the tables, and stored procedures, and all data from my SQL to an access database file?

Its either I convert this from code, send a script to SQL server, and it automatically creates it for me, or SQL has an option I can click on. Either way I'm lost..

    Your response is valued

    Regards

  • I'm not aware of a tool that will "downconvert" from SQL Server to Access. Further, I do not believe that your stored procedures will go anywhere in Access. I am curious, why not setup the access data to link to the data on the SQL Server? I built an application with a previous employer that the "front end" for the client was in Access but it didn't store any data. All of the data was stored in SQL Server and I just setup links in Access to the data.
