exporting data...

    I am trying to export just the tables from sql server 2000 to 2005. But i am getting a message as "Same instance of sql server should be running"

    Can't we export data from 2000 to 2005..????We should be able to right. .???

    Any inputs are greatly appreaciated.

    Are you using the Export Wizard? If so do you have the SQL 2005 drivers installed.

    I know you can Import using 2005 from 2000 but never tried vice versa. And right now I only have 2000 installed.

    I've used the Wizard to export data from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005, BUT I was only able to use the "copy tables and views..." option, not the "copy objects & data..." option.

    I've also used the import/export wizard in SQL 2005 SSMS.
