Export to PDF with bookmars?

  • Hi -- I was wondering if any version of SSRS has a feature similar to Crystal Reports XI r2.

In CR XIr2 a report can be exported to PDF with the option of converting the treeview navigation structure to bookmarks. Can SSRS export its treeview to bookmarks in PDF, too?

    Thanks,

    Pete

  • SSRS Automatically converts document map entries into bookmarks, in fact I'm not sure there's a way to NOT do this!!

Have you tried it and failed?

Are you using the document map entries in SSRS?

  • Thanks Nigel for confirming this.

Actually, when I posted my question I didn't have access to SSRS so I thought I'd just post the question.

Now that I'm back in the office, I see that indeed the document map exports to pdf, but it seems that the bookmarks are initially not in view when viewing in Adobe Reader, which is a tad different to Crystal Reports XIr2 where the bookmarks are defaulted to be visible when opening a pdf exported by Crystal.

Is there a way to force the bookmarks to be visible in a pdf when exported by SSRS? (Perhaps some sort of command option?)

    Thanks.

    Pete

  • There's no option to do this that I know of, sorry.
