Export to CSV Issue

  • We have few reports in SSRS 2005 which are SQL based.

When we export the report to csv, and open it , it opens in xls by default.

The expected thing is that data should be shown in a single cell with comma separated for the entire row.

But the data is splitted across columns in Office 2003 which should not be the case.

This does not happen in Office 2003 installed on laptops and on desktops with Office 2007.

And the issue explained is not consistent across all the reports in Office 2003 on desktops.

If anyone faced the similar issue, please help us to resolve the issue.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Regards,

    Indu

  • Just open it in Notepad...

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
