Just a quick question, is it possible via code( VB preferably) to export reports made by the Business Intellegince server to word? If so how difficult is this to achieve?
Thanks

You can create a report using Crystal Report in Visual Studio. The Crystrak reoirt generated has an export button displayed in the top of the tool bar from which you can export ot Word, Excel, PDF etc

Since you didn't say anything about Crystal Reports and nobody has answered your question, let me at least increase the thread a bit and maybe get someone who knows to give you an answer. I haven't touched a report for five or six months and do not know the status, or care to know the details of how to write one; but I remember that you could not even directly print a report. You either had to write a custom component (logically the equivalent of a print driver) or else create the report to a PDF file and print from there. Someone in one of the forums write the necessary custom component, and when I heard them ranting it was because they said it was going to "be standard" in the next edition. I have no idea whether it is standard now either - or even still planned; althought it should be.
How does this relate to your question? You may have to do some digging, and you may have to write a custom compont - about the only thing stopping you is "how bad you want it" and/or "how much you want to spend". You may do some research and find that it is a feature - or that someone else has written such a piece of code and it is available.
That is SUPPOSED to be one of the benefits of this new software. It sure seems like something that people will want to do. Personally, I hope I never see Crystal again
Good luck! and keep us posted.
