Hi
If you are to produce Excel files why not use Excel and built in VBA?
There are a great number of examples around how to do it and also works
for remote SQL-servers other the net.
Search sites like EXCEL-L@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM or just google for
ADO SQL Excel VBA.

VBA is Visual Basic for Application built in Excel.
Open Tools Macro Visual Basic Editor
or press ALT+F11. I still use Office 2003
VBA is the macro language used in Excel and is
very usefull
