  I am having excel sheet template which contains column names as headers.

  I want to export the data from a sql server datbase table to a specified excel sheet without using DTS or SSIS or script which should use linked server.

  Please provide me the best solution at the earlest.

  Look into OPENDATASOURCE in Books Online. That should get you started
