  • You might do well checking out the T-SQL forums here, reading the first post and then trying to come up with an answer.

  • I agree... you want practice? THIS is the place to get it. Lot's of books have the same ol' stuff and while they may be good for rank beginners, they don't teach you about real life. The questions people ask on these forums, regarless of how far fetched some of them may be, are real life.

It's also your chance to contribute to the betterment of fellow newbies across the world. 😛

First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

  • This is getting ridiculous.

An author proposes one of his books and someone expects to have it for free ?

Why on earth would anyone bother with writing books if the author cannot justly be rewarded for his work ?

When I see a good book, I PAY for it. This is the only way I can be sure there will be more good books.

And expects it to be sent to him at the author's expense.

Scary thing it, it's not an unusual request to see....

  • Gila,

I posted this because I thought that seriously, the gimme types would have probably missed Dan's point.

  • It looks like the OP is looking for exercises for ORACLE not SQL Server.

Bolding is mine for emphasis. Interesting how many people ask for Oracle stuff on a site dedicated to SQL Server.
