"Exception from HResult" on new SSIS project

  • Hi,

I am working with MS VS 2005 and everything worked fine until now.. Everytime I want to create a new Intergration Services Project, I receive an "Exception form HRESULT: 0xC001100E" error. I can create all types of other projects, except SSIS.

Any ideas in solving my problem?

    Thanks.

  • Thank you for replying, though it doesn't shed any light on my problem. I get the error on creation of a new SSIS project, not when I open an existing one..

  • I have the same problem here. Can someone help please? Thanks

  • Hi, I've sorted my problem by installing SP2. It seemed as if dll library files went corrupt and the SP2 replaced them.

Hopefully it will work for you too.

    Regards.

  • That solved it for me. 🙂

    Thanks!

  • Do you mean to say XP service Pack 2?

If yes then Its not working for me.

I got the same exception while trying to create new project.

    Help me ...........

  • Hi. No sorry for being unclear.. I mean SQL Server 2005 SP2.

Let me know if it helped you.

    Regards,

    L.

  • It works for me. Thank you very much!

  • I have the same problem. When I start BIDS (VS 2005) and then select create a new project with project type SSIS, I immediately get "Exception from HRESULT: 0xC001100E" with no other explanation.

Does it make sense, Microsoft developing new products inordinately when their current offerings have so many problems? Also their documentation is inadequate, their help is in disarray and there are just too many products and version of products. Makes it like looking for a needle in a haystack. (Rant finished)
