Evicting a cluster node in SQL 2000

  Our Windows SA's are troubleshooting a problem with a windows cluster node. He wants to rebuild the node again and then add it back. The node is currently part of a sql serve 2000 cluster. Is there anything that a SQL DBA should do in prep for this besides backup the databases? Are there any gotchas or steps that I should do before the Windows SA evicts the node. Are there any steps that I should do after the Windows SA adds the node back?
