Everything Blank / Hidden issue, no data shows

  • Hi

Anyone experienced this:, no data shows up on my report...

I created a query from an SSAS cube, the data displays in the query. I added the fields to my table (2008 R2) NO ROWS are hidden, NO GROUPS are hidden, No fields are hidden, yet, the report only displays the headings.

Several reports I have developed are still find, but every new report show this behaviour. I even dragged Builtin fields to the rows, to test whether its my data or whether its a property issue, but the rows dont display.

    Any help?:crying:

Are you viewing the report in the "Preview" tab in BIDS? If so, delete the <report name>.rdl.data file from the report folder. Data is cached in this file when the report is previewed the first time...and the cached file is used subsequently.

Without more information it is a long-shot, but could possibly be the reason.

    Martin.

  • Hi

I managed to find the reason. Its weird, but logical if one thinks about it..

My parameter reads: Project No begins with, while the parameter properties displays a list of available reports, which is created automatically in the way the query designer MDX query parameter script.

When the report runs, obviously, It cannot match up the exact value of the available values to the "begins with".

I change the parameter properties to have no available values, allow blank and voila! no more issue.
