The OLE DB initialization service failed to load. Reinstall Microsoft Data Access Components. If the problem persists, contact product support for the OLEDB provider.
Why do those 2 event IDs occur at the same time and what does it mean.
What does this error mean?Where should I start to troubleshoot this and fix it.
Is this a benign error as below stated in the URL
or does this need to resolved.

Is this something which has just started happening? If so, do you have any new jobs running which get data from other sources?

Hello Phil, We see this once in a while and not a recent occurence. Twice in the last 30 days.Yes there is a SQLJob which inserts data into a different server using linked servers.
The linked server provider is Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQLServer.
For the SQLOLEDB provider "Allow inprocess" is not checked. Is this what needs to be checked to correct this error.
Thanks

OK, does it happen randomly, or only at set times?

I checked the SQLJob timings and the times this error occured. It seems to occur at random times.

You mean the Event Viewer, presumably? OK, I don't know what to suggest and hope someone else can help.

These 2 event IDs 19036 & 10016 show in the event viewer and this "The OLE DB initialization service failed to load. Reinstall Microsoft Data Access Components. If the problem persists, contact product support for the OLEDB provider." is what shows up in the error log at the same times.

Understood. But you mentioned 'SQLJob timings' and I was simply wanting to confirm that you had referred to this in error.

Does this need to be fixed or is the message informational.
