I am receiving the Event ID 17052 on a SQL server which hosts a Crystal Enterprise Repository, i've had a look on internet and don't really understand what it means. It seems to be mainly in the early hours for a cpl of hours on a Friday morning when there isn't much activity, backups, optimisations etc have completed before these errors stamp the SQL Server Error log and the Windows Event log.
Below is the error that is in both logs:
The Scheduler 1 appears to be hung. SPID 0, ECID 0, UMS Context 0x03A53B50.
Error: 17883, Severity: 1, State: 0
Can anyone give me a simple explanation to this and if it's anything to worry about.
thanks in advance.

SQL version is Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.760 which I believe is just SQL Service Pack 3a with no hotfixes on a Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4.
