I guess it's been 120 days already...
How do i get the eval version upgraded? We already have a valid license for sql on that box, and are using it as the web server as well. Its all inclusive and legal. So i dont think we need to purchase a license for reporting services alone, its covered.
But how do i make it not be the eval version, or upgrade it? I didnt realize that it would simply shut down and stop functioning for our users...
any ideas?

You'll need to order the full version from Microsoft. There won't be a charge (except maybe shipping?) as you already have the SQL Server licenses. Details can be found here:

Hope this helps.

What's the process for upgrading the eval 2000 version to the full licensed one? I've got a 2000 sql w/ reporting services eval, need to get it on the licensed version.
Since sql 2005 came out, all reporting services pages link to the same overview page - I can't find any ordering, downloading or any other info that used to be there for the 2000 version...

I went to the link and it is no longer good since SQL 2005 Reporting Services is out. The link to get the CD for 2000 is http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/previousversions/rs/retailfulfillment.mspx. Did you ever find out if the EVAL can be upgraded? We're developing reports in the Eval edition while waiting for the CD and was wondering the same thing.

We just ran setup from the cd image, it wasn't difficult - but I don't actually remember the details, we just did it that one time.
I did backup the encryption keys using rskeymgmt, before the upgrade. I would also backup the reporting databases.
From what notes I have, looks like we also applied the key - maybe after the upgrade? I'm not sure now if we did, or if we needed to.
Maybe someone else out there can give better step-by-step instructions, I just know it was painless and straight-forward - just backup the key and data beforehand.

It worked.... but I got into a bit of trouble. I had a subscription setup to send a report via email everyday at 7am. When my eval ran out the email stopped being sent (well... kind of). When I received my CD almost 60 days had passed. When I did the install... 60 emails went out (and the executives don't like email floods to their BlackBerry devices) LOL
All I did was... insert the CD and when it detected I had a previous version did I want to upgrade.... I just said yes. That was it.
