Guys, i'm facing this problem below:
Server named pipe provider has stopped listening on [ \\.\pipe\$$\MSSQLSERVER\sql\query ] due to a failure. Error: 0xe8, state: 4. The server will automatically attempt to reestablish listening.
someone already had faced that issue ?
Thank you.

Is the instance configured to allow named pipes? I ran into this article a while back that may help as well. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sql_protocols/archive/2005/12/22/506607.aspx

Yes, the instance is ok.
i read the article but there isn't nothing about the fact of the listening stop and start all the time.
Thank you.

Since it is happening all the time, you could run a trace to see if there is a command disabling it. Is there any other errors in event viewer?

There is nothing in trace or event viewer.
Maybe update with the last patches solves the problem. The server 2008 R2 SP1, i'll apply sp2 and sp3.
Thank you
