Hi,
I am trying to install SQL 2008 R2 Standard 64 Bits on a box which already has SQL 2005 Standard, I am getting error saying 'Miscrosoft .Net framework 3.5 SP1 has failed. SQL Server 2008 R2 setup requires .Net framework 3.5 SP1 to be installed'
I checked and .Net 3.5 SP1 is already installed on the box, Windows SA gave two options now: either uninstall/reinstall .Net or repair it. Since the 2005 instance is already live on that box, I don't know what impact it would have on 2005 instance if we go for reinstalling or repair.
Can anyone please suggest, thanks in advance!

I did a lot of googling & it seems reinstalling/repairing .net won't do any good, I still need to fix this problem, any suggestions would be appreciated
