Error while I connecting oracle database in SSIS connections issues

    Generally have gotten this message when the Oracle database was unavailable. Check that it is available. Also check firewalls.

    Can create a .udl file (i.e. test.udl) and double-click on it to test a connection to the oracle database. This will tell you if the machine the SSIS package is running on can actually connect to the Oracle database. Also, I have found that the Oracle Client needs to be installed on that machine.

    Just some thoughts.
