I get the following error message The Messenger service has not been started - NetSend notifications will not be sent when I try to copy the entire database...I set Messenger service to automatically start even then it shows the same error message...Any help would be really appreciated.

Can you give us some more information about what you're using to copy the database? How did messenger and NetSend get involved here?

I right clicked the database that has to be copied and under tasks I just used Copy Database option...I have no Idea what has caused that error.

Execute SQL Server Agent job Action has triggred that error

Yeah, this basically creates a oneshot job that runs under your rights, but I'm unfamiliar with that error occurring.
Best bet is to plug it in entirely into google and see what you can bring up from others who have hit a similar issue. It's how I'd have to start researching it myself. I'm sorry I can't help further.

What version, more importantly what service pack are you utilizing? If SQL 2005 SP2, this was a bug fixed with SP3.
