Error when try to Preview Excel spreadsheet

  Hi,

  In Excel Source Editor, I am able to view the Column but got an error when Preview the Excel file:

  Index and length must refer to a location within the string.

  Parameter name: length (mscorlib)

  I tried to fix Excel file by removing few rows with some empty values in few columns. It seems to me that VS auto removed some "hidden" (it did not appear to anything in there, but editor tried to read them) extra columns. But I still could not get rid of this error. Checked few places, only see few people had same pain but no solution. Any hint or help? Thanks.

  Hi CozyRoc,

  Thanks for helping out. It was spreadsheet heading. User uploaded file with 'PHASE'; package could only take 'Phase'.

  I did not it is case sensetive. Also error message was very misleading. In any case, the nightmare is over.

  I'm not sure I understand, if it's a heading problem - the preview should still have worked?

  This error is due to the Blank Space in the Excel Sheet.

  If your excel file sheet name contains blank space like ' Sheet1'. while preview you will get the error message as you mentioned above.
