Hi all:
I have an error when restoring full backups of databases on my server. My server uses SQL Server 2000 SP3 and Windows 2003 Server OS. The error message that appears is as follows:
Title of the messagebox: Microsoft SQL-DMO(ODBC-SQLState: 0100)
Message:
<start of message>
ConnectionRead(WrapperRead())
General Network Error. Check your network documentation. Processed 1 pages for database 'dbname', file 'db_log' on file 1.
<end of message>
It fails towards the end of the restore when the progress bar is full.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
TIA
Bernard

Are you able to use the newly restored database? If you run DBCC CHECKDB, do you find any errors? Check this link to see if it's applicable to your situation.
SQL BAK Explorer - read SQL Server backup file details without SQL Server.
Supports backup files created with SQL Server 2005 up to SQL Server 2017.

I think this is it. I will try the workaround. Thanks for the link, it was very informative ...
