Which provider did you select while trying to create the connection manager?
Need an answer? No, you need a question

I went to the blank area under connection managers, right clicked, and selected oledb connection manager. This is something I've done many times but this is a new contract with a new install on a vm.
I have uninstalled .net framework and sql server 2012 (including all related services ie Data Tools). I reinstalled the latest .net framework and kicked off the sql server install before I left work. I will let you know if that worked tomorrow.

Cant create any Database style connections in SSIS packages.
I can add flat file etc but not OLEDB providers?
