I'm trying to backup my databases to another backup server though I'm receiving the attached error.
the SQL service is logged on as "Network Service"
Please let me know if you can think of a potential cause.

go onto the remote server and find the backups share. You need to check and set Share permissions then move to the folders security tab and set NTS ACLs too.
The computer account for the sql server must be granted permissions in both these places.

Please check folder rights. It seems folder doesnt have required rights.
Thanks

The SQL Service account is logged on as "Network Service" instead of a domain network account.
Am I still able to give it permissions to the backup server somehow?

Did you read my post above??
The computer account of the sql server must be added to the share\NTFS ACLs on the remote server.

Sorry can you please step me through on how to do this?

The actual SQL Server is running under "Network Service" and is on a different domain so I'm not sure how to give it access the way you mentioned.

and is on a different domain
You never mentioned this before, complicates things even further. Is there a trust relationship between the 2 domains?
You really should be working with your network admin to get this resolved
