We installed Access 2007 on one of our pc's that uses an Access 2000 database. Now we can open the database from pc's with Access 2000 but not from the pc with Access 2007. Error is: "You do not have necessary permissions to use the 'p:\fspr\aps\data\ledger.mdb' object."
I did follow the directions to add the directory where the database resides as a Trusted location in Access 2007 on the pc but still get the same error. Any other ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you use Access workgroup security at all? If so, I think there is a /wrkgrp parameter that you can put on the shortcut command line when you open the database.

There is a password set on the database but not workgroup level security. I tried unsetting the password but we got the same error. We are just trying to open the database from Access, not with a shortcut. Do we have to use a shortcut? Thanks.
