hi
i am facing problem while linking the reports which has parameters in the subreports kindly let me know if anyone knows this to solve this problem

I am facing the same issue.
I think it might be security related. If I run this parent report as myself I get the content rendered from the subreport. If I run it as a typical user, they get the error:
"Error: Subreport could not be shown" in the space where the subreport content should reside.

Can you please expand upon your problem?
What is the error you are seeing? Is it the same issue that Josh is seeing?
Are the reports on the same report server?
Are they in the same report server directory?
Are they using the same data source?

Hello,
I have created a subreport and deployed. Everything worked fine with the report. All my team members were able to access the report from report manager. Yesterday i gave access to few other people. Few of them were able to view the report successfully and few came up saying "Subreport could not be shown". I am confused. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

i'm having the same exact problem! runs fine in BIDS (3 subreports) but after deploy all 3 subreports come up as errors.
right after i learned how to use subreports.
i read on a different site - that someone fixed it (permission problems) but they didn't go into WHAT permissions. sigh...

My error with subreports has been resolved.
It was security related. Here is what I did...
I blew away all reports and report folders in question.
Set the permissions on the root report deployment folder, making sure that inherit permissions would stick (I did this in SSMS -> SSRS connection)
Redeployed all reports including subreports
It was all good to go.

aw, geeze - i was supposed to deploy the SubReports, too!
i have a long way to go...
after i deployed the SR's the entire report ran. sorry to waste your time - but thanks for the help. (i went into each deployed SR & hid them from the listing.)
