I have just installed SQL Server 2005 in my laptop. I am trying to start the SQLSERVER AGENT Service but, I cant start and I am getting this error message
"Unable to start service SQLSERVERAGENT on server Naimish-PC" "Additional Information :- Access Denied(ObjectExplorer)."
Anybody knows how to fix this ? I think I just need to change some settings which I dont know.

What version/edition of SQL Server you have installed?

Are you running on Vista? If so, are you trying to start the agent through SSMS? If yes, then you need to be running SSMS as an Administrator for this to work. Other options are to start it up using the services applet, or Configuration Manager.
