I just started administering this server.
SQL Server 2005, SP3 applied, 64bit.
SharePoint running on this server.
In the event viewer, the Application has this error:
Unknown SQL Exception 8117 occured additional error information from SQL Server is included below:
Operand data type nvarchar is invalid for sum operator
Problem is with so many databases and objects, how do I figure out what this error is referring too???
Sincerely,
Sonal.

Not really enough information here to assist. It might help if you could provide the entire error message you have in the application log plus a few entries on either side.
Also, check the SQL Server logs, you may (or may not) get additional information there.

There are no entries in the error log or the server log.
Don't know where else to look.

Would help to see the actual error message that you found.

"Unknown SQL Exception 8117 occured additional error information from SQL Server is included below:
Operand data type nvarchar is invalid for sum operator"
This is the only error I see in the application logs, no where else.
Scratching my head, trying to figure it out.

Any luck resolving this issue? We have a fresh installation of a SharePoint farm: SQL server 2005 SP3 and MOSS server 2007 SP2 - both servers run on Win 2008 64-bit. I am also seeing this error in the event viewer, there is NOTHING else besides it. Any ideas???
