I created a DTS package that uses a system DSN which points to an IBM Iseries (aka AS400). When I try to add a Transform task from SQL connection to the connection using the DSN, I get this error:
Error Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
[IBM] Client Access Express ODBC Driver (32-bit)(DB2/400 SQL)SQL0901
I am unable to select any of the tables on the Iseries in the destination tab.
I am able to do this same type of processing on other servers without an error. This server is is in the same domain as the one that works, and my Iseries has an entry in the Host table for it.
This project is due this week... if you have any ideas, please help. Thanks!!

Are you using the same version of iSeries driver on the same operating system as the other servers that work? Is the ODBC DSN set up exactly like the others? In the package are you using the "iSeries Access ODBC Driver" to connect or the "Other ODBC Data Source"? You may want to try both. You also might want to try setting up a linked server using the ODBC driver just to see if you can get a connection or to get a better error message. If you can set up a linked server, see if you can select data from the AS400. You may also get a better error message--like if there is an authority issue. Just a few suggestions.
