Error :''No authority could be contacted for authentication''

  • Hello!

    We are having problem with users  from different domain accessing our RS. There is a trust between two domains. We have also added group users belong to the System Administrator role in RS. We are getting following error:'No authority could be contacted for authentication'.

     

    Any help is greately appreciated,

  • Make sure you have a global catalog server set up at your domain.  It’s my understanding that it will provide authentication services for both domains.  I suspect SQL Server is trying to verify the user’s credentials and a simple trust relationship between domains is insufficient for authentication.
