Hi
Enterprise Manager is a snap-in to the MMC (Microsoft Management Console) and if there is a problem with the MMC then maybe you could try the folowing:
* Install a Service Pack for SQL - this may correct the error
* Re-install SQL Tools from the CD
* Investigate a way to re-install or correct the core MMC within the OS - if possible?
Let us know if you come right
Thanks
Kevin

Thanks for the response!
I have found the solution.
When the message appears you have to go to
C:\Documents and Settings\ \Application Data\Microsoft\MMC
In the MMC folder, there is a file named "SQL Server Enterprise Manager".
Just rename it.
for example: "SQL Server Enterprise Manager112"
Now when you click on the SQL Server Enterprise Manager shortcut in the start menu. SQL Enterprise will work fine.
thank again.

Thanks for the feedback - we are all learning from the feedback.
There is an actual exe for EM in the binn folder - maybe also trying to launch that directly could also be an option.
Great to hear that your problem is solved
