Check the Maximum worker threads eith EM. Maybe you have to increase it.

We have just ran into this error this morning. The server was rebooted at 2:07am and the batch job got this error in 3:00am. This batch is serialized and it has 7 UNIONs altogether. I have checked the maximum work threads which was set to 255 already.
This is SQL 2000 SP3 running on Advanced Server SP4.
The server was rebooted at 2:00am due to too many 'WARNING: Failed to reserve contiguous memory of Size= 65536.' and the SQL Server is stale and doing nothing.
3GB physical memory in this machine. Boot.ini has been configure to take advantage this memory upto 2.8GB. This is a dedicated SQL Server host.
Thanks,
Glen
