Error in registering MSDE 2000 Server with MDAC

  The Setup of my application installs MSDE 2000. MSDE 2000 SP3,  and MDAC 2.7 along with the rest of the components. One particular user I am getting the following error:

  "An error has occurred registering this installation of SQL Server Desktop Engine with MDAC"

  The target computer has Windows XP Pro with SP2. This problem seems to be specific to this user as the application has been installed successfully on Xp SP2 computer with and without Windows Firewall.

  Any ideas why this might be happening.

  Try to resinstall MDAC 2.8.
