OK, so I'm trying to install SQL 2008 R2 Std side-by-side with an existing SQL 2005 installation. I can work my way through the installation options, but once the install process begins I get:
TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure.
------------------------------
SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error:
There was an error generating the XML document.
Error code 0x84B10001.
------------------------------
After searching online I see that this problem is typically related to the version of the .Net framework you have installed.
This server currently has the following frameworks installed and listed on the add/remove programs list:
.Net Framework 2.0 SP2
.Net Framework 3.0 SP2
.Net Framework 3.5 SP1
.Net Framework 4 Client Profile
.Net Framework 4 Extended
Can someone help me out? Should I uninstall some of these? Maybe more importantly, can I uninstall/reinstall .Net frameworks underneath an installed instance of SQL without messing anything up?
Thanks!

Thanks Jason. I've got our server team looking at that link and (hopefully) fixing things.
