    Hello everyone
I proceed to upgrade my production instance from sql server 2008 to 2014
the upgrade procedure had an error
here with the report of the \ Setup Bootstrap folder
who has an idea about the root cause of this error
    thank you for your help

It all seems to go wrong starting around the following line

    (01) 2018-06-05 22:07:45 Slp: Sco: File 'F:\redist\DotNetFrameworks\x64\dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe' does not exist

Is the F: drive a local drive on the server? Are there any connectivity issues? Does the above path exist?
Have you really waited six weeks before tackling this issue?

  • I mounted an iso image to a virtual drive F:
I launched upgrate from this reader

  • OK. So does the file F:\redist\DotNetFrameworks\x64\dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe exist?

    yes he exists

The error is for installing the 2005 C++ redistributable. Some have worked around that error by manually installing it and then doing the SQL Server upgrade. You may want to try that.
