Error Connecting to SSAS Cube

  Hi Everyone,

  Wish you all a very Happy New Year 2017.

  Lets start 2017 with a simple issue.

  One of my colleague is getting an error when he is trying to connect to SSAS Cube from Excel 2010. He was using the Cube for some time but for past few days he is getting error(error message as attached.) :w00t:

  "The following system error occurred: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found."

  I used his credentials and was able to connect from my machine, so access or security is not a concern. Any pointers in this regard would really be useful.

  I have the suspicion that this may be down to cached connection/meta data in Excel, suggest you look into clearing those.
