Hi,
I did a Save As on a bunch of DTS packages to transfer them from one server to another. However when I try to design them through a proxy session I get an error saying 'Parameter is invalid'. The wierd thing is, is that I can do this ok when opening them in an enterprise manager on a different machine.
Has anyone seem this before?? Is it something to do with the proxy session? The DTS packages open OK on the old server thru a proxy session?!?

Generally this comes from some sort of conflict in the connections parameters. For instance if the old server has a connection called NewServer then the package may fail on the new server since it may not have a client mapping for this. Does it open at all on the new server and have you tried straight IP connections in the connection parameters?

But they open ok thru anythng but a direct proxy connection to that server. So I don`t think it`s the internals of the packages that are a problem.

When you say you are using a direct proxy connection can you elaborate on this? I ned to make sure my understanding is what you are talking about. Maybe I am missing something here.
