On a SQL Server 7.0 Enterprise box service pack 4 when I try and run a linked query I am getting this error :
Server: Msg 7399, Level 16, State 1, Line 2
OLE DB provider 'SQLOLEDB' reported an error. The provider ran out of memory.
OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'SQLOLEDB' IRowset::GetNextRows returned 0x8007000e: The provider ran out of memory.].
Currently the box is setup with no memory limits and has 4 gig of physical memory installed and it seems that SQL Server is only using 2 gig. Has anybody seen this problem before, and if so, do you know what to do to fix it? also, does SQL Server 7.0 only use 2 gig of memory unless you tell it to use more?
Thanks for your help in advance.
