    ado error alter table statement conflicted with column foreign key constraint 'x'

    why am i getting this error

    It would seem that one of the columns that you are trying to change is referenced by another table.

    In EM, right click on the table name and view its dependencies. That might show you with the conflict is.

    You can also - in EM - go to the table properties and click on the "relationships" tab to view the foreign key constraint....
