Hello all.
I am running into a slight problem that I need some help on. I have a SQL 2000 enterprise sp4 server with a couple of databases. I have created multiple maintenance jobs and then added a task to send a smtp alert if the job fails.
When I go into the maintenance job, it tells me that it is unable to parse and when it opens, nothing is checked. Also I get the following error message, Error 5: [SQL-DMO] Code Execution: Exception Access Violation.
Has anyone seen this before and if so, how was it resolved?
Any help would be appreciated.

can you put the complete error message or there should be minidump for this Exception Access Violation.

unfortunately there are no dumps associated to this issue. Even the error log does not show anything related to this, i just have messages from my routine log backups.
But here are some error messages from the event viewer. Don't know if this will help.
From the application viewer.
Faulting application mmc.exe, version 5.2.3790.1830, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x024fc951.
From the system viewer.
Application popup: mmc.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
As for the entire error message all it says is:
Error 5: [SQL-DMO] Code Execution Exception : Exception_Access_Violation.
That's it, that's all I can have. I've looked through out the web, but can not find anything associated to my issue. Any insight to this would be most appreciative!
thank you.

It is caused by the SQL client.
After drop off the sql registration and re-registed the server, the refresh error was gone.
