Error: 17883 Scheduler Hung

  Hi All,

  We have SQl 2000 (SP3) and we frequently get these messages:

  Error: 17883, Severity: 1, State: 0

  The Scheduler 0 appears to be hung. SPID 53, ECID 1, UMS Context 0x04069D90

  System gets 100% busy and nobody can connect to SQL.

  Any solutions/work-arounds ?

  Haven't seen that one. I'd guess you may need to call MS on this one.

  Thanks for the update.

  Actually its documented as bug# 810885. But they did not mention any solution.

  I have seen other people also facing same issue, but nobody mentioned any solution.
