Error: 15457, Severity: 0, State: 1 in ERRORLOG

    Hello,

    I have the following message in the errorlog file:

    Error: 15457, Severity: 0, State: 1

    2004-11-22 15:45:45.57 spid96 Configuration option 'show advanced options' changed from 1 to 1. Run the RECONFIGURE statement to install..

    I have read that it isn't important message. I am not sure if execute the reconfigure option because I am not sure how to do it and if it could be dangerous for the database

    When you go into Ent. Manager and just review the service side options for Memory, Security etc you will get this message even if you do NOT change anything. If you DO change something you will most likely need to reboot the server or stop/start SQL Server for them to take effect.
