Almost everytime I try to check "current activity" within the Management folder on EM I get Error 1222. Lock request time out period exceeded. I can use sp_who to view what's going on via query analyzer, but would like to fix this problem.
Current verions: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.818 (Intel X86) May 31 2003 16:08:15 Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 4) (SQL Service pack 3a)
Am I missing a service pack fix to this problem???
Thanks, Lisa

Lisa try using sp_who2 which can give you more information on the activity and who can be blocking the process timing out. Could be the same, but maybe there is another process using the same table or process. Just an idea. Good luck

sp_who2 will probably fail as well. Usually caused by locking on tempdb

Had the same problem with a remote server, sp_who2 works.
